Basic Alterations
Hem a pair of pants or jeans. Taper shirt side seams or slim down a sleeve. Shorten sleeves on a shirt or jacket. Take up a shoulder seam or shorten your straps on a dress. Take in or let out a waistband. Taper a trouser. ​

Advanced Alterations
Reshape a woman’s dress or man’s jacket. Reduce shirt shoulders. Narrow jacket shoulders. Adjust jacket sleeve length. Fix neck roll on men's jacket. Lower arm hole on a men's jacket. 

Helpful Fashion Hint. 
​Invest in staples and have them tailored to fit. They should be classic cuts (meaning timeless, not boring, but not overly trendy), well-made and from quality fabrics that will last you for years. In the long run, you will look your best, feel more confident and save money.
