I would like to pay tribute to our peacekeepers - our uniformed personnel and civilian colleagues in the field. They serve far from home, often in extreme circumstances, to guard fragile peace processes, to help build and strengthen national capacities, and to protect civilians here at home.

I am a married mother of two grown children. As a military mother, I support the efforts of the military and all uniformed personnel. My son is currently a pilot in the U.S. Army.
We are grateful for all our American veterans and to all of our current armed service and civilian personnel who are in the valiant service of our country. ​
